  • Multiple Tenure-Track Positions at Vanderbilt

    The Department of Psychology and Human Development at Vanderbilt University is seeking applicants for a cluster hire of three tenure-track assistant professors.     The Department of Psychology and Human Development includes a group of scholars who work to increase understanding of basic psychological functioning in family, school, and other contexts that influence development. As a part of the Peabody College of Education and Human Development, we jointly run a graduate program in Psychological Science with the Department of Psychology in the College of Arts and Science. While faculty members in Psychology and Human Development share a common interest in psychological processes and their development, our specific interests, research methods, and expertise are diverse and include both behavioral and neuroscience approaches. Some researchers are committed to increasing understanding of basic psychological processes, while others emphasize implications for clinical, social, and educational issues.   • Multiple Tenure-Track Positions at Oregon State University

    Oregon State University (OSU) School of Psychological Science is accepting applications for three full-time, 9-month, tenure-track positions as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor in Clinical Psychology, starting Fall 2022 in Corvallis, Oregon. The School currently has thriving undergraduate and graduate programs and offers a Ph.D. in Psychology with Health, Applied Cognition, and Engineering Psychology concentration areas. We plan to launch a new Clinical Science PhD program and will seek dual accreditation from APA and Psychological Clinical Science Accreditation System (PCSAS). The three new faculty are expected to play a major role in shaping the focus, rigor, and community impact of this training program.     The PsyD Program in Clinical Psychology, Health Emphasis, within the School of Health Sciences of Touro College invites applications for two full-time faculty positions, effective July 1, 2022 

    1.   Director of Clinical Training at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. The successful candidate will be expected to support our developing Psy.D. Program through; a) overseeing and managing the training (externship and internship) experiences for the students in the Psy.D. Program; b) teaching in the Psy.D.   • Clinical Psychology Faculty Position – George Mason University 

    The George Mason University Department of Psychology invites applications for a full-time, 12-month, instructional faculty position in clinical psychology to begin Fall 2022. This position will support both the clinical psychology doctoral program and the undergraduate program. More specifically, the successful candidate will participate in teaching and supervision of doctoral students’ clinical work in our community-based training clinic (https://psyclinic.gmu.edu/) as well as teach advanced undergraduate students in evidence-based behavioral health techniques.     The Department of Psychology at the University of Victoria invites applications for a tenure-track position in Clinical Psychology at the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor to commence July 1, 2022. The successful applicant will be expected to teach 7 term-length courses per year (typically a 3-3-1 distribution with the ability to teach more than one class per course topic). Teaching assignments will include core undergraduate courses in the Mental Health and Wellbeing stream.   • Tenure-Track and Psychology Clinic Director at The University of Toledo

    The Department of Psychology at The University of Toledo seeks outstanding candidates for a tenure-track faculty position in clinical psychology that includes the role of psychology clinic director. Applicants must have a doctoral degree in clinical psychology and be license eligible in Ohio. The primary service responsibility for this position includes serving as Director of a currently operational psychology clinic housed within the Department of Psychology. This clinic serves as the primary training clinic for clinical psychology doctoral students. Other responsibilities include mentoring and supervision of clinical psychology doctoral students, teaching a reduced load of primarily graduate courses, serving as a core member of the clinical psychology doctoral program, developing an independent program of research, collaborating with faculty within and outside the department on research, and serving the department, college, and university through various activities and rolesCompetitive applicants will have a vision for further developing the clinic by increasing its visibility within the institution and local community, expanding clinical services, and incorporating innovations that further the mission of the clinic and the clinical psychology doctoral program.

  • Tenure-Track Position at University of Maryland, College Park

    The Department of Psychology is seeking candidates for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor position in our PCSAS- and APA-accredited clinical psychology doctoral program. We seek to identify an outstanding individual who conducts research in mental health disparities, diversity science, or related fields. We are particularly interested in candidates whose expertise and lived experiences can inform the development, dissemination, or implementation of culturally appropriate interventions aimed at serving traditionally underrepresented populations and whose research addresses one or more of the following topics: 1) structural inequities and reducing mental health disparities among ethnoracial minorities; 2) developing, disseminating, and implementing scalable, sustainable intervention strategies for mental health in underserved populations; 3) cultural adaptations of interventions, 4) social determinants of health and wellbeing, and 5) research that includes individuals from traditionally excluded populations (e.g., Black, Latino/a/e/x, Indigenous, trans, non-binary, low socioeconomic backgrounds). A scholar who also approaches mental health disparities from an intersectional lens that recognizes and incorporates other identities and lived experience would be especially welcome. A hire in this area would, by necessity, conduct research across multiple levels of analysis and foster greater collaborations across campus and with the diverse local community. This individual could also provide important expertise in course instruction in the areas of community-based participatory research, diversity science, and health disparities.

    We are looking to add to our growing cluster of researchers who investigate mental health across the lifespan in underrepresented communities, locally, across the US, and abroad, and we are eager to add to the diversity of our faculty and our scholarship. Beyond this specific focus, we seek applicants with a strong research program, potential to attract extramural grant or foundation funding, and a commitment to excellent mentoring and teaching.

    Qualifications. The primary qualifications for this position are demonstrated excellence in empirical research and teaching.   • Tenure-Track Position with Developmental Psychopathology Focus at he University of Minnesota

    The Institute of Child Development (ICD) has long been a premier center for scholarship, teaching, and outreach in developmental psychology.   • Clinic Director at the University of Calgary

    The Department of Psychology in the Faculty of Arts at the University of Calgary invites applications for the University of Calgary Psychology Clinic Director. The successful candidate will be appointed as Instructor or Senior Instructor (Tenure-track, full time) in the Department of Psychology. The anticipated start date is January 1, 2022.

    The Psychology Clinic (UCPC)  is a sliding scale psychological service program serving the greater Calgary area. It offers state-of-the-art training to graduate students of the University of Calgary Clinical Psychology Program, which has been accredited by the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) since 1995. The Director will have the opportunity to be part of a prolific and diverse research and training environment in the Department of Psychology. 

    The Clinic Director focuses jointly on ensuring that Clinical Psychology graduate students receive the highest quality clinical training via applied practice and that clients of the clinic receive ethical and effective psychological services. The Director is responsible to plan and provide for clinic and community practicum placements, including seeking new placement opportunities. They provide support and supervision for those working and training within the UCPC, and develop and maintain professional connections at the community, provincial, and national level. The Director helps manage the clinical training infrastructure, including organizing community outreach for recruiting clients and promoting ethical, evidence-based psychological assessment and intervention. The Director may also provide direct supervision of student clinical activities. The Director promotes and supports clinical research being conducted with the Department of Psychology and provides support to students applying for clinical residency. 

    The Director will teach undergraduate and/or graduate psychology courses in the area of clinical psychology.  

    The University of Calgary requires that the successful candidate have a PhD in clinical psychology from an CPA or APA-accredited program and be registered or eligible for registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists. Candidates also require a minimum of four years of experience in providing clinical services, including experience in clinical supervision. Candidates will also demonstrate excellence in university-level teaching and/or providing supervision to graduate student clinicians.  Experience managing an outpatient clinic is desirable.

    The Psychology Department at Furman University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in clinical/counseling psychology at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor, to begin August 2022. We seek candidates with a Ph.D. in clinical or counseling psychology whose interests expand our research areas.     Two tenure-track faculty positions (one at the assistant professor level, the other open rank) in our APA-accredited clinical psychology PhD program to begin August 2022. We seek applicants whose research focuses on aspects of mental health in traditionally underserved and historically excluded populations, health risk disparities, and/or global mental health.     Minimum Qualifications:    

    Ph.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology or closely related fields and a clinical internship, both from APA-accredited programs, by date of appointment are required for all levels of appointment, including at the assistant rank. For appointment at the associate rank, a strong research and publication record, evidence of teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in clinical psychology and topics related to candidates’ research specialties are additionally required. For appointment at the professor rank, a distinguished record of scholarly research, evidence of excellent quality teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels, meaningful service at the department and college, and university level, and professional achievement are additionally required. All candidates are expected to obtain licensure as a doctoral-level psychologist in the State of Ohio.
